Buckland welcomes new Alconex CEO

Dr Steve Farmer has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of Alconex Infrastructure and Solutions, a Buckland Group Company. 

He joins from the Specialist Services Division of Dalkia EDF, where he was Managing Director, and has led large scale projects with experience in data centres, pharmaceutical and life science clean rooms, and the energy transition sector including solar and green hydrogen.

Dr Farmer was previously the Managing Director of Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services and the UK CEO of Mabey Hire. He was originally trained by Yorkshire Electricity as an electrical engineer with over 30 years’ experience across the construction and rail sectors. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration.
