Buckland welcomes new Chief Executive Officer at Buckland Rail

We are delighted to announce the new Chief Executive Officer for Buckland Rail, the parent company of Yellow Rail Limited, WH Davis and Davis Wagon Services.

Buckland Rail is our integrated rail services company which was formed last year, to leverage the collective strengths of its subsidiaries by fostering closer collaboration to increase its capabilities and service offering to passenger and freight customers.

The aim is to build on the three rail businesses’ established relationships and highly complementary portfolios, particularly in the areas of freight wagon maintenance, bogie overhaul, and material supply services.

The consolidated company forms a core part of Buckland Group.

Noel said:

Noel joined British Rail as a sponsored Engineering Management Trainee in 1988 and trained for two years during his Mechanical Engineering degree at Loughborough University, later holding engineering and management posts in Chiltern Railways and Intercity West Coast.

Noel has extensive experience and deep knowledge of all aspects of the railway industry, including infrastructure, rolling stock and the supply chain, having worked for Bombardier Transportation, Unipart Rail, and latterly as Managing Director of the Xrail Group.

As Chief Executive Officer of Buckland Rail, Noel will oversea, the Group’s three rail businesses, Yellow Rail, WH Davis and Davis Wagon Services.
